ANALOG 02 is the primary alias for producer, songwriter, artist, and engineer Niko Ortega. Born in Troy, New York to Central American immigrants, Niko spent their formative years in New York before relocating to Denver, Colorado the year before high school. After graduating high school, ANALOG 02 began studying Aerospace Engineering as a first-generation student at the University of Colorado Boulder. After taking a semester off to get a break from school and save up money, ANALOG 02 decided to extend their songwriting into the realm of record production, composition, and mastering as an escape from the surrounding noise and signals in this world.

 

ANALOG SIGNAL is our musical introduction to ANALOG 02 . The demo tape features 12 tracks written from when Niko began tinkering with production in April 2023 all the way to midway through the summer of the same year. The project showcases influences in garage, jungle, house, jazz, drum n bass, electronica, disco, breakcore, ambient, and breakbeat.

 

ANALOG 02 displays an ever changing pool of imagination and inspiration in their soundscape. Their production and writing escapes normal conventions and brings in aspects of the world around us as a whole. Niko is 21 and continues to grow and shift his soundscape with every new track written.
